Corrosion Resistance
Magnelis (steel) is a metallic, steel-coated product made from an alloy of zinc with 3.5% aluminium and 3% magnesium. It is highly resistant to corrosion – up to 3x more resistant than Galvanised steel – so it can withstand some of the harshest environments.
- The fiercest elements require the toughest surface protection
- Outstanding corrosion resistance in hostile environments
- The only metallic coating product certified for use in the very severe C5 environment
- Most cost-effective alternative to batch hot dip galvanised steel with 3 times greater resistance to corrosion
- Self-heals around perforations, deformities and cut edges
- Great for sustainability due to longer product life
Arcelor Mittal offer a magnelis handbook.
